Sunny Fahrenheit, Has Sad Stories Behind Them

The four sunny and outgoing boys seem very sweet and happy onscreen, but behind each member, there is a heart wrenching story. WuZun's mother died of cancer, Jiro's father died of diabetes, Arron's exgirlfriend died from a car accident, Calvin hasnt experienced anything to do with death but has his own past.

Calvin couldnt return home
Calvin's dreams were always to become a singer, a artist. When he wanted to leave the country to go to Canada to study, his father disagreed and the ended with a huge fight that was never resolved when Calvin left. His family never wanted him to become a singer. Even when Calvin came back to Taiwan, he did it behind his fathers back. "I lived pretty close to home then, not even 10 minutes away. I was so close to home, but i couldnt return." Calvin lived at this friends place for a month and a half, and his mother would secretly go visit him when his father was at work. Because the times were too tight, she could only see him for a bit, and not even have dinner with him. "Dad thought it was weird, we would talk on the phone on the weekend sometimes but he couldnt reach me." It wasnt until the middle of March when Calvin knew he couldnt do this forever. He went home and lied to his father saying he just returned home from Canada, but his father got angry and told him to go back to Canada. He stayed home for 2 months as his dream of becoming a singer wasnt going anywhere. "I felt so useless staying at home doing nothing, so i finally decided to go teach English in May." It wasnt until the filming of "KO One" and the formation of Fahrenheit that Calvin had some kind of grade to show his father.

Arron longs for love
Arron's problem is that he "thinks too much." He admits: "Im a very boring and closed person, always thinking that i can do it myself, not wanting to let others know my feelings because i want to deal with them myself, plus i dont know and like to express myself, so i keep it all inside." Facing so many different changes at once, Arron's dreams from becoming a singer began with becoming a actor first, "KO One." He never had any confidence in acting, he only enjoyed singer. Plus his school work and stress, Arron would cry on the set of "KO One," cry until his makeup would all melt, but when he returned home and his family saw his unhappy face, he would just answer, "Im fine. im fine." Ever since breaking his leg, he expresses: "When i heard that i couldnt dance for half a year, all the questions popped up in my mind again. It was my biggest regret and stupidity. I asked myself, will i being fown Fahrenheit?" WuZun on the side answer jokes: "Yes! yes! yes!" Arron then shouts: "See!!!!" Arron says: "Family is the deepest in my heart, my weak spot. I always envy those who have such perfect familes and reltionships with their mom and dad." His relationship with his father is very far, very distant. "The day i had my operation, mom and dad came, the entire atmosphere changed. Mom would pick me up and drop me off everyday, i want to tell mom and dad, the things you do for me, i know. when i have the ability, i will let them have the most wonderful days."

WuZun thinks about his mom
WuZun's mother died of cnacer 4 years ago, and WuZun didnt even know in the beginning. WuZun's holds onto a picture of his mom and him when she flew to attend his graduation. To celebrate, WuZun took his mom out for seafood, and still then, WuZun didnt know about his mothers illness. Holding onto the photo, WuZun feels as if his mother is still with him.

Jiro still wears his lucky bracelet
Jiro says that when his father was sick, his mother would look after him. When his father died, his mother has hoped that Jiro would get a steady job, but in the end, she supported his dream of entering the entertainment circle. On his wrist is a lucky bracelet given to him by his mother ever since high school, and Jiro believes that as long he wears it, everything will be smooth. Arron and his exgirlfriend went to buy earrings, and to keep this memory, plus his girlfrind died of a car accident, Arron wears the earring, always reminding himself to cherish the people around you. Calvin won the "Sunshine Boys" contest in Canada, and his number was 7, so he believes that everything is his Lucky 7.
